3004 aluminum alloy is a medium-strength, non-heat-treatable alloy primarily composed of

manganese and magnesium. It offers better strength than pure aluminum while maintaining

good formability,weldability, and corrosion resistance.

Moderate Strength

 

Tensile strength: 130–285 MPa (depending on temper, with H18 full-hard state offering the highest

strength). Strength can be significantly improved through cold working (e.g., rolling), but it cannot

be heat-treated for strengthening.

 

Excellent Formability

 

High ductility, suitable for deep drawing, stretching, and other forming processes (e.g., beverage can bodies).

 

Outstanding Corrosion Resistance

 

Due to its manganese (Mn) and magnesium (Mg) content, it resists atmospheric, water, and chemical

corrosion, particularly in humid and saline environments.

 

Good Weldability
