Light weight and Durable 5454 H32 Aluminum Sheet for Tank Truck Body Production

Tank trucks are transport vehicles with a tank-shaped body used for carrying various liquids,

liquefied gases, powdered goods, etc. The body of an aluminum alloy tank truck consists of

several parts, including side panels, fenders, and tank openings.

The commonly used aluminum plates for tank trucks in the market are generally less than 12.5

meters in length and less than 2.2 meters in width. The common thicknesses are 5mm, 6mm, 

7mm, and 8mm. A complete tank body of a tank truck usually requires the welding of 4-6 alum

-inum plates.The tank body is made of 5083H111 aluminum plate, and the tank covers on both

sides require bending, which uses 5083-O temper aluminum plate. The O temper is softer, mak

-ing it suitable for bending. The partition (fender) section uses 5083-O temper as well.

In addition, some manufacturers use 5454H111 aluminum plates to produce tank bodies. We supplies

the weight of goods carried can be increased. Since the tanker body is made of aluminum, this

type of trailers does not need anti rust treatment and there’s no need to worry about rust residue

or damage done by rust. The trailer’s material is also environmentally friendly.

♦  Aluminum tanker trailers has much better fuel economy compared to tankers made from other

material thanks to its lightweight. Research done by European Aluminum Association shows that

0.6L of gasoline can be saved for every ton and 10km. If traveling 12,000km a year, an aluminum

tanker can reduce the dead weight of 5t compared with a steel tank, and it will save at least 1800L

of fuel annually.
