Application Aerospace industry
Product Description

Aluminum 7075 is a heat-treatable aluminum alloy with zinc as the primary alloying element. It offers moderate formability in the annealed temper and can be heat-treated to achieve strength levels comparable to many steel alloys.

This alloy provides excellent mechanical properties including good ductility, high strength, toughness, and fatigue resistance. While more susceptible to embrittlement than other aluminum alloys due to microsegregation, it offers significantly better corrosion resistance than 2000 series alloys.

Mechanical Properties
Alloy-Temper Tensile Strength (ksi) Yield Strength (ksi) Elongation (%)
7075-O 33 15 16
7075-T6 83 73 11
Aerospace Applications

The aerospace industry requires materials that withstand extreme conditions while maintaining lightweight properties. Aluminum 7075 T6 is ideal for aircraft components including:

  • Structural parts
  • Wing components
  • Fuselage frames
7xxx Series T651 7075 Aluminum Sheet Aerospace Industry 0

7075 aluminum alloy exhibits outstanding mechanical properties including high hardness, tensile strength, and yield strength. These qualities can be further enhanced through heat treatment, making it perfect for demanding aerospace applications.

Thermal and Electrical Properties

The alloy's high thermal and electrical conductivity makes it suitable for components requiring efficient heat dissipation or electrical conduction.

Our Manufacturing Advantages
  • World-leading technologies and equipment including full sets of imported vertical intelligent storage and logistic management systems
  • Comprehensive finishing lines for all aluminum plate, sheet, and strip products including trimming lines, tension leveling lines, air-floating type quenching lines, coating lines, and packaging lines
  • Capability to produce 2xxx and 7xxx series plates with all relevant international certifications
Industry Certifications

NADCAP (National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program): Certifies special aluminum alloys (7xxx, 2xxx series) for casting, heat treatment, and NDT (Non-Destructive Testing), meeting Boeing/Airbus requirements.

AMS (Aerospace Material Specifications): Including AMS 4050 (7075 alloy) and AMS 4035 (2024 alloy) for aircraft components.
